“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honour and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” Revelation 4:11

God did not create things just because they had to be created; He created all things because He wanted to, and had a reason for creating each thing. Our verse for today says “by Your will” and I even love how the KJV puts it: “by thy pleasure”. So in other words, God out of His will created what we see because He derives happiness from them when they perform the functions He has assigned them. This extends to His most valuable creation – humans. You and I are here on earth because God has a will for us and that He wants to receive great pleasure from our fulfilment of His will. May God help us to do His will every day so we constantly bring Him the pleasure He desires.
